My Name is Jason Bare, and I am a Broker, Licensed in Virginia & North Carolina Broker-In-Charge, serving in management with OWN Real Estate. I’m a native of North Carolina, and relocated to the Hampton Roads area in 2007. I consider myself a “connector.” I love connecting people to each other, people to houses, and people to their dreams!
Having worked in the music and entertainment industry for over 25 years, I made the transition to Real Estate back in 2017, and have loved every minute of it. Coming from a family of Realtors, Brokers, and Contractors gives me a definite edge on the business. My keen eye for design and home styles are definitely a strong suit, but it’s my ability to understand each client’s wants and needs that sets me apart from other agents. I use a great deal of modern technology, including strong social media presence, to enhance marketing strategies not just in our market, but nationwide.
I am a member of the Hampton Roads REALTORS® Association, the Albemarle Association of REALTORS®, and the Outer Banks Association of REALTORS®. I am a multi-Platinum and Diamond Achiever with the Hampton Roads REALTORS® Association and have been featured in several real estate publications, including Hampton Roads Real Producers as a Rising Star (January 2022). In 2020, I received the Founder’s Award from OWN Real Estate in recognition of my outstanding influence and representation within the firm. Most recently, I was honored to be voted Best Real Estate Agent – Gold Winner in Chesapeake in Virginia Media’s 2023 Best Of awards.
In July of 2023 I filmed my first episode with the EMMY nominated American Dream TV, as a featured host for the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. This is a National Television Show highlighting lifestyle & Real Estate in multiple cities around the United States, and I am thrilled to share our incredible culture and community with the world through this amazing media outlet. The American Dream can be seen across numerous platforms, including AppleTV, ABC, NBC, CBS, RokuTV, Amazon Fire, and coming soon to HGTV.
